St. Rose of Lima Choir

Greetings from the St Rose of Lima Church Choir of Freehold, NJ!
With over 40 members primarily from our Parish and the surrounding Freehold area, many have served from ten to twenty years or more! We are proud to provide liturgical music settings for our Parish’s many celebrations including:
• Annual Christmas Concert
• Christmas Eve
• Tenebrae (Lenten Service of darkness)
• Holy Thursday, Good Friday, the Great Easter Vigil and Easter Sunday morning
• Holy Days Masses
• Special celebrations including clergy anniversaries, dedications, Confirmations
• and most importantly - the Holy Mass celebrated weekly from September through the end of the Church year (June)
We have been led for over twenty years by beloved director Janos Major, who earned his Master’s Degree in Choral Conducting from Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, Hungary in 1988. His passion for the music drives us to always seek the next level in our art and challenges us to perform a diverse repertoire of church music from many areas of the world and all genres from Gregorian Chants right up to works by modern composers.

Our beautiful church in Freehold NJ is a wonderful venue to hear our sweet music!
