As a Boy Scout leader in the late 1960s, Stan Malecki began cooking and teaching the art of Dutch Oven cooking. Now retired, spends the winters in South West Florida, volunteering his time demonstrating and teaching Dutch Oven bread baking at a historic 1903 baker at Koreshan State Historic Site.
During the summer months in Pennsylvania, Stan volunteers his time at an 1858 grist mill as well as an 1822 stage coach inn. He demonstrates and teaches using an outdoor bake oven for historic baking classes.
Stan also teaches classes for Slippery Rock University called "The Institute for Learning in Retirement"
