Circle K International

CKI began in 1936 as a Kiwanis club service project to provide an opportunity for capable, ambitious and worthy young men to acquire a college education by assisting them, where necessary, with their financial problems, by means of a scholarship fund, if available, or securing part-time employment. Soon after the concept of CKI was recognized and accepted, the element of community and service was introduces, thus creating an appealing outlet for collegians around the globe.

Today, as the largest collegiate service organization, CKI boasts a membership of more than 12,600 collegians on more than 500 campuses worldwide. CKI is a student-led organization with an International Board of Representatives elected by its membership each year. Embodied by its tenets of leadership, fellowship and service at the club, district and international levels, CKI continues to grow through service to the world's campuses and communities.

Stanford Circle K

Stanford Circle K was founded in 2009 by Tania Tran (Class of 2011) with the help of our local Palo Alto Kiwanis Club. Sice then, Circle K has grown to become one of Stanford's many established service organizations on campus, with a broad array of weekly service projects and initiatives.

We seek to help connect students with the greater Palo Alto community through a number of different service events, including but not limited to:
-Serving brunch at the Palo Alto Stevenson House
-Sorting and delivering food at the Second Harvest Food Bankl
-Volunteer as coordinators at Palo Alto's large number charity runs/walks
-Removing invasive species in Half Moon Bay's State Parks
-Local community construction and beautification projects with the Palo Alto Kiwanis Club
-and many more service projects!
