The Staten Island Boys Football League was founded in 1959. We operate now, as we did then, under the concept of building character through sports. A concept we have been extremely successful with, being measured by the achievements of our boys, as they become young men.
We as a league would like to believe that we played some small role in their successes. We are a non-profit organization, with an elected board of directors, all volunteers from our Staten Island community. Any monies we collect through donations, contributions, fundraisers, etc. are dispensed throughout the League to provide for uniforms, equipment, and improvements to our South Avenue Sports Complex.
Our Complex includes two regulation size football fields, and an equally large practice field. We also have a regulation sized baseball diamond that is used By Farrell High School, and a little league diamond as well. In any given year, this complex serves well over 800 Staten Island families in organized group sports.
