Ranch History
The ranch was homesteaded in 1865 by Valentine Staubach, a German immigrant. Construction on the brick home began shortly thereafter, although the brick upper levels were not completed until the early 1900s. In 1997, the Hoeffner and Belson families purchased the ranch, which includes most of the original Staubach land. The Hoeffners operate the ranch where they raise about 200 head of Angus cattle, as well as a crop of hay and alfalfa.
Staubach Creek Ranch is a working ranch and private guest ranch. Owners Jeff and Marie Hoeffner tailor experiences to meet the needs of families and small groups.
