The Stay in Step Spinal Cord Injury Recovery Center will provide state of the art Activity Based Exercise and Therapy (ABE&T) to military and civilian SCI clients from the Tampa Bay area, and eventually from around the country, at its Tampa, Florida location. Combining the technical and medical experience of Dr. James Merritt, one of the Veterans Administration’s foremost spinal cord injury physicians, with specially-trained therapists and staff, Stay In Step will offer SCI clients access to active therapy that is currently absent from the Tampa Bay area. In addition to being a rehabilitation clinic, Stay In Step will also be a place where clients can be a part of the community. Whether it’s a client hanging out with Romy in the community room, or a spouse sitting down with Gaby for heartfelt and empathetic moral support, Stay In Step will be a facility with a holistic body-and-mind approach to rehabilitation.
