Steelhead Oncology

Steelhead Oncology is a comprehensive specialty practice offering care for patients diagnosed with cancer or blood diseases in a highly individualized setting.

Our mission is to provide contemporary and compassionate treatment for our patients and their families. We work with other specialists as part of interdisciplinary teams to provide care in a supportive environment.

Our physicians specialize in medical oncology as well as benign and malignant hematology.

Dr. Stephen A. Williams is a Board Certified medical oncologist and hematologist. He earned his medical doctorate at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, TX. He completed internship and residency at Johns Hopkins University/Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, MD, and subspecialty fellowships in Medical Oncology and Hematology at Georgetown University Hospital/Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. Dr. Williams came to Roseburg in 2007 to establish Roseburg Medical Oncology. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Williams is chairman of the Pharmacy, Therapeutics, and Infection Control Committees of Mercy Medical Center. He serves as vice-chairman of the Board of Directors of DCIPA and is on the Board of Directors of Architrave Health.

Dr. Joshua M. Weese is a Board Certified medical oncologist who is also trained in hematology. He has a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mathematics from Southern Nazarene University. He completed a Master of Business Administration at LeTourneau University. Prior to medical school he worked in the Allergy/Immunology department at Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, engaged in resesearch to better understand the underlying genetic and molecular abnormalites of autoimmune disease. Dr. Weese graduated with his medical doctorate from the University of Oklahoma in 2007, followed by Internal Medicine residency and Medical Oncology fellowship, also at the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Weese serves as the Chairman of the Joint Cancer Committee. He serves as Chairman of the multidisciplinary tumor board. He also serves on the EMR Steering Committee for the community.
