Sticks & Stones Bayou Retreat

Sticks and Stones is a luxury bayou estate hidden away in a wildlife sanctuary 30 miles north of New Orleans. The house is nestled off of the historic Bayou Liberty on Bayou Narcisse and is the perfect setting for your next vacation rental, wedding, private event or yoga retreat.

The back of the house is all glass, providing endless swamp views and sweeping natural light throughout. The house itself is a work of art, full of comfortable furniture, antiques, fine art, beams, hardwood floors, and custom stonework - including a massive fireplace. It's truly unlike any other bayou home and has everything you need to host the perfect vacation, wedding, family reunion, private event or yoga retreat.

The sprawling property also has a very large swimming pool, pool house, and separate outside bathroom. There are intimate seating areas located around the property including the pool area and back patio, as well as a table outside.

The kitchen is a chef's dream. It has an eight burner Viking stove with a four blower vent hood, a triple commercial sink with sprayer, stocked pantry, and a 25ft hand-crafted concrete island that comfortably seats 12.

The master bedroom has a top of the line king size Sterns & Foster mattress completed with a hand-carved Indonesian headboard. From the bedroom, you have spectacular bayou views. You can often spot wildlife, seasonally, including alligators, bobcats, otter, deer, eagles, ducks, woodpeckers, and much more!

The master bath has a large & luxurious soaking tub, a separate shower, two sinks, endless hot water, and a walk-in closet.

Upstairs, there's a second master suite with a queen bed and full bathroom. Across the breezeway, there are two more bedrooms, each with a queen sized bed, and another full bathroom. A single bed can be added to these, if requested.

Each bedroom comes equipped with a flat screen TV, and there are also two additional TVs downstairs, one in the kitchen and one in the living room.

Freshwater fishing is available right from the backyard, or saltwater fishing is only a short boat ride away on Lake Pontchartrain (which is available upon request). Pontoon boat tours and evening wine cruises can also be made available to you.

If you'd like to bring your own boat, we have a private boat launch with plenty of docking. We also have kayaks, a canoe, and paddle boat on site.
