We have always filled our home with beautiful handmade items that can be passed down among generations, and we wanted to create a shop that shared our ethic of appreciating handmade items using locally-sourced supplies that can be passed through families as heirlooms.
Ovie studied woodworking at the world-famous Berea College, where he learned woodworking, carpentry, and wood-carving alongside some of Appalachia's greatest craftsmen. He's been making custom pieces for more than 40 years, and has recently expanded his skill set into lapidary work and jewelry-making.
Josie is a self-taught artist, with more than 40 years of experience in textile work. Her expertise in selecting yarns that show off and meld with a textile patterns is particularly adept, and she has worked in needlepoint, knitting, crochet, crewel and basket-making.
We love and collect items that can be considered heirloom quality, and that's what we hope to provide for you as you shop our Etsy site.
