Our district was founded in 1852 by a group of city business leaders and now serves more than 38,000 students in 55 schools. With a large staff of 3,500 and a General Fund budget of $523 million, SUSD proudly offers 23 different academic Magnet programs, including, International Baccalaureate middle and high school; a dual study/credits with Delta Community College, Spanish language immersion, a pre-law academy, an award-winning high school journalism program, technology and environmental studies, among others. We boast the highest scoring high school in the region and offer Advanced Placement, fine and performing arts, as well as a number of after-school and Saturday programs.
