Stonewall is a town in Pamlico County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 281 at the 2010 census. It is part of the New Bern, North Carolina Micropolitan Statistical Area.GeographyStonewall is located at .According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 2.0sqmi, of which, 1.7sqmi of it is land and 0.4sqmi of it is water.DemographicsAs of the census of 2000, there were 285 people, 118 households, and 80 families residing in the town. The population density was 169.5 people per square mile (65.5/km²). There were 133 housing units at an average density of 79.1 per square mile (30.6/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 74.39% White, 22.11% African American, 0.70% Asian, 0.70% from other races, and 2.11% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.05% of the population.There were 118 households out of which 28.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 50.8% were married couples living together, 12.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 31.4% were non-families. 27.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.42 and the average family size was 2.96.
