I have been fascinated by photography since I was a child. I purchased my Canon Rebel camera for a trip to Cook Islands with my friends in the summer of 2012. I enjoyed it so much that I felt the "need" to document everything in my life – and I mean everything! I take photos of food on my plate (or my friend’s plate), landscapes, animals, nature, as well as people. I enjoy nothing more than capturing people when they are relaxed and smiling with genuine joy and contentment – a smile that encompasses the whole face from lips to cheeks to eyes.
With all the madness in the world today, I craved beauty and happiness. I needed to document the slow moving colorful crab in Aitutaki, the bumblebee in the backyard, the sunset near home, the birds at the feeder, friends enjoying each other’s company, and much, much more. My dream is to create photographs that are art – art that is pleasant for the eye to see, art that fills the heart with joy, art that makes people smile, art that brightens people up when they are gloomy.
While exploring this idea, I joined Rotary International, a unique organization dedicated to improving the lives of people everywhere every day. As a result, I decided to use my avocation to promote various causes that help people less fortunate and launched this website. My primary goal is to help people become self-sufficient through micro-financing projects focused on maternal and child healthcare.
