EMPLOYMENT SERVICES - SVRI's Employment Services staff possess knowledge of employer expectations as well as experience working with people who have disabilities to achieve the best possible job placement for both. Services include; Job Development Services, Work Experience, On-the-Job Assessment, Job Seeking Skills (JSS) Training, Employment-Based Assessment.
EVALUATION SERVICES is a process during which participants try out work tests to learn about their vocational strengths, weaknesses, and interests. A.T. RESOURCE CENTER - Assistive Technology (A.T) - What is A.T.? Any product or piece of equipment used to maintain or improve the functional capabilities of people with disabilities is an A.T. device. A.T. services include: evaluation, funding, design, customization, modification, maintenance, repair, training, and technical assistance. People of all ages can benefit from services that will help them with the A.T. they want to use at home, in school, or at work.
WORKSOURCE WISCONSIN is a not-for-profit initiative with the goal of providing Wisconsin employers with accessible and complete information regarding the employment of individuals with disabilities. Through a comprehensive web-site, toll free phone line, and statewide training for employers with the resources necessary to recruit and retain employees with disabilities.
RESEARCH - SVRI has a long history in providing disability and rehabilitation research. The Research and Training Center (RTC) was established in 1972 to provide research and development capabilities to the Institute. The role of research is further re-defined in recent years to reflect a "research <> praxis" philosophy and to align with the Institute's Mission.
