Street Taco

Street Taco is the brainchild of Mark Fox, founder of FOX Lifestyle Hospitality Group. Following a strong instinct for what neighborhood residents want, Fox has been instrumental in the design and execution of successful mainstays Banc, Whitman & Bloom and Cask in Murray Hill, Kips Bay, as well as Greenwich Village’s White Oak Tavern. “Over the last decade, the Murray Hill, Kips Bay and Gramercy neighborhoods have evolved from sports bars into more diverse dining concepts,” said Fox. “I’ve spent a lot of time in these areas listening to our guests and decided it was an opportune time to give people what they have been asking for. Street Taco is just that - a comfortable, welcoming eatery with a lively environment and relaxed fare.”

Executive Chef Justin Ottervanger’s menu fuses Mexican culinary traditions - tacos, flautas, nachos and chilaquiles with contemporary fare including “farm-to-taco” vegetarian options such as Roasted Cauliflower and Blackened Portobello tacos, all served on fresh nixtamal corn tortillas. Accompaniments like the Mango & Pomegranate Guacamole and salsa varieties enhance notable dishes including the Fried Chicken, Lengua and Al Pastor tacos, Lamb Barbacoa Flautas, and Goat Cheesecake Flan. Street Corn Pops and Crispy Hominy serve as additional snacks. Brunch highlights include House-made Churro Donuts, Torta de Huevo, Menudo, and Avocado Toast. Patrons order directly on customizable menu forms.
