Studio O'Brien

Kevin O’Brien is a landscape and wildlife artist of 25 years. His passion for nature sparked at a young age, visiting family in rural eastern Colorado. His work in contemporary landscape impressionism showcases his love for the outdoors as well as his appreciation for city life.

Born and raise in the suburbs of Chicago, his drive to become an artist lead him to North Central College in Naperville, Illinois where he completed his Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Art Education. He began his art career after college by relocating to Colorado, which afforded him the opportunity to be closer to the subject matter that he loves. He later moved to the resort town of Saratoga, Wyoming, where he owned and operated an art studio and gallery for a number of years.

His love for the front range and vivid scenery brought him back to colorful Colorado in 2012. He currently resides in Fort Collins, where he enjoys teaching, volunteering at the local art museum, and donating works of art to local charities for auction.

His work can be found in numerous galleries across Colorado, Wyoming, and in the Chicago area. He welcomes commission work, including pet portraits and custom murals.
