Trail Riding Class Information Sheet

What: In a 2-hour scheduled time frame, you will receive guidance and instruction on grooming and tacking your pre-selected lesson horse. After a short warm up ride in the arena, we’ll hit the trails - enjoying approximately an hour and a half in the saddle. Afterwards, you will untack and groom again.

How: Your ride can be scheduled through Park Hill Community Ed. or through North Kansas City Community Ed. In addition you can contact trail boss, Jetta McGinniss, directly to set up a personal ride for you and your friends/family. Contact: 816-392-6176 or jettamcginniss@att.net

Who: For insurance purposes, riders must be at least 8-years of age. However, if 6 and 7 year olds have previously taken riding lessons, they may join the trail ride. Younger children may not ride double with their parents. . If a child under 14 rides without a parent, the parent is expected to stay on the property. You will also sign a Release Waiver which can be found on the website. Printing it off and bringing that with you would be beneficial.

Riding attire:
• Shorts, sweats or slick type pants are not allowed
•Boots required (preferably with a heel)
•Helmets required – Bring your own (bicycle helmets will suffice) or we will provide
•Water bottle suggested

Safety “no-no’s”:
• No pets allowed
•No cell phones while riding

Cost: $60 per rider
