Sunrise Therapeutic Riding Center

Sunrise is a Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl) center member and offers horseback riding and ground lessons to qualifying participants as recreational therapy. All of our lessons are taught by or supervised by a PATH Intl registered instructor. Sunrise also offers horseback riding and horsemanship opportunities for veterans.

Sunrise offers lessons year round. Our activity calendar is based around three ten week sessions. Lessons and outings are also available out-of-session and during winter months. Sunrise has an indoor and an outdoor arena, so activities usually take place rain or shine. We currently maintain a herd of twelve working horses and ponies, and work hard to match participants with the right horse for them.

We welcome volunteers, and host volunteer training sessions for new volunteers monthly. Sunrise, Inc. also offers a limited number of unpaid internships. Please contact the office for more information.
