The Super Giant Community Garden addresses the pressing environmental health issue of healthy food access in NW Atlanta. The Urban Health Initiative received a start-up grant and, with the community, will build and maintain this garden. It is part of a larger Healthy Hub plan which includes the existing grocery store, this garden, a community kitchen, a HEALing Community Center Urgent Care Clinic, a laundromat, and store staff trained as lay health educators.
Special thanks to community partner Super Giant Foods, as well as the Emory Center for Community Partnerships which provided the start-up SPAN funds (Sustainable Partnerships for Atlanta Neighborhoods) for this garden!
