REIKI
Developed in 1922 by Japanese Buddhist Mikao Usui, is a form of alternative medicine and is sometimes classified as oriental medicine or energy therapy. Using a technique commonly called palm healing or hands on healing, practitioners transfer universal energy through the palms, which allows for self-healing and a state of equilibrium. Reiki is normally received sitting or laying down while hands are placed in certain position over and on the body.

CRYSTAL THERAPY
Holistic form of energy therapy that utilizes the healing properties of crystals to re-balance and harmonize a person’s bio-magnetic field. Every crystal has a unique vibration according to its atomic structure and outer shape, so that when applied in a therapeutic context, the crystals can help activate, support and often accelerate the natural self-healing process. Crystal healing aims to restore wholeness, balance and health: emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually. Crystals are placed on or around the body while seated or laying down.

VINYASA flow yoga
Beginner friendly and all are welcome. This flowing yoga class includes basic poses, simple breathing exercises and guided meditations. This is a good place to learn basic poses, relaxation techniques, and become comfortable with yoga and your body. Focus is placed on the breath and its ability to quiet your mind while relaxing your body and letting go of tension and stress. Emphasis is placed on safe alignment and use of props to suite the individuals unique body.

GENTLE yoga
All levels class where students explore basic yoga poses, breathing techniques and guided relaxation. Class flows in and out of poses at a slow pace, most of which are on the floor. Emphasis is placed on opening and relaxing the body while calming and clearing the mind. Generally a more passive practice gentle yoga allows you to release, let go and be in the present moment. Students unique bodies are supported with use of props and safe alignment. No prior experience is necessary.

YIN yoga
Slow paced class where (mostly floor) poses are held for an extended time. Holding the poses allows for a positive stress on the bodies (yin tissue) connective tissues, the tendons, fascia, and ligaments-resulting in increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. Emphasis is placed on moving the Qi or energy throughout the body to improve organ health, immunity, and emotional well-being. The perfect complement to balance any (yang) or active vinyasa practice. No prior yoga experience needed.


Born and raised in Connecticut, Amy has been studying yoga and other holistic therapies for several years. Taking her passion for yoga to the next step, she completed a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Certification through Lotus Gardens LLC. As a complement to vinyasa flow, Amy trained in Yin yoga with Joshua Summers. In addition Amy has studied stress management, sound therapy, color therapy, aromatherapy and meditation. Inspired to help others find peace, she created and completed a series of two “Stress Management through Meditation and Yoga” workshops. Amy received her master level Usui Reiki Therapy with Nanci Cannon, which complements and enhances her practices. Amy's style combines her creative vigor with a sweet flow. Embracing the middle path, Amy seeks inner peace and balance which she shares with her students.
