Sweet Tee's Coffee Shop

It’s difficult to know when the dream was first stirred. Though it without a doubt came from the heart. I’ve had several rounds of cultivating the dream. Fun conversations with family and friends about what it would look like to have a place like Sweet Tee’s. The experience we would want for each person who came in the door. An experience that teases every sense - smell, sight, taste, touch, hearing. And maybe...a sixth sense - not of seeing dead people as in the popular movie, but quite the opposite - a sense of being in the presence of Life. A place to Connect. A place to Relax. A Place to Dream.

In thinking of where people may seek connection, a church setting often comes to mind. It seems like a popular practice today is to offer coffee in the lobby and allow parishioners to bring their drink into the sanctuary to drink while congregating. Our dream is not so different. What if we created a space that served coffee, where others...anyone...could find sanctuary....

That could be a tall order for a small shop...good thing we have big dreams!

Interestingly enough, our 1st focus is Community and how the environment of Sweet Tee’s Coffee Shop can enhance our Customer experience...our Community experience. We want to provide a welcoming, safe, comfortable place. The experience may start when opening the front door with an embrace of coffee aroma from an onsite coffee bean roaster. A variety of rooms and seating to visit with friends while sipping coffee. Cozy quiet corners for reading. A fire place warmth that cultivates creative dreaming. A customized blanket to snuggle with to continue the “at home” feel. Connecting. Relaxing. Dreaming.

Our Community experience continues into our vendor consideration. For example, Sweet Tee’s intends to premiere an award-winning coffee bean roast that literally started at the local home of the Red Headed Philosopher. Chose from a variety of coffee blends, coffee concoctions, teas and smoothies. What kind of host would we be if we didn’t offer a few baked goodies; our hope is providing in-house as well as some select products provided by local baker.

Our beverage and food menus are just one way we feature our Community. Look around and you will see wall decor provided by local artists; Read books written by local authors; Hear music written and performed by local musicians. Even a wall where you can express your thoughts and dreams. It is our way of celebrating each others talents, gifts and heart’s desires.
