We're transitioning from an annual crop-based system to one that incorporates both annuals and perennials, for better water management and climate change resilience. While searching for nearby land to purchase for growing agroforestry crops and livestock, we are growing certified organic row crops in an extended annual/perennial rotation.
We don't have any direct-sale food crops available now, but in less than ten years, we hope to be able to offer you with Chinese chestnuts, pawpaws, persimmons, asian pears, heartnuts, chestnut-finished pork, and other pastured meats.
What else are we up to besides growing organic row crops and establishing an agroforestry system? We have a forestry consulting and agroecosystem management company, Prudenterra--check us out on Facebook or at prudenterra.com.
