Tamarack Lodge at Bear Valley

Where Wilderness Meets Home! Tamarack Lodge at Bear Valley is an ideal vacation spot for families, groups and retreats. It is located at the site of the historic Tamarack Camp Marker on National Scenic Highway 4 in Calaveras County, California. Only 2.5 miles from Bear Valley Village for cross country skiing, sledding and tubing and 6 miles to Bear Valley Mountain Resort for downhill skiing and boarding.

Overnight stay or day visit - for $20 per car come and enjoy our lodge and 5 acres- 10 am to 5 pm

This facility is great for kids- inside there are plenty of areas for kids to play: ping pong room, reading library, inside and outside playing area.

Summer offers shuffle board and hiking trails as well as swimming,
fishing or boating at Lake Alpine.

Winter offers small sledding area, FREE sled and snowshoe use for guests. Lots of area to romp, roll and race through the snow...even challenge parents, sibling or friends to a snowball fight or snowman making contest. .

Close to Bear Valley Mountain Resort for downhill skiing and Bear Valley village for cross country skiing and snowmobiling.
