Tana's Pet Sitting and More

I have been working with animals most of my life. My very first job was bathing dogs for a groomer at Puppy Luv Pet Land in Winter Haven at 16 years old. In my early 20's I apprenticed under Neil Barthalett who was the owner of Alfonze Grooming in St.Petersburg Fl. I then work at Central Animal Hospital also in St. Pete. I was trained as a vet tech and also groomed tranquilized dogs and cats. I took a break from animals and became a Barber Stylist and after several years decided I liked dogs better. My passion is and always has been German Shepherds. I lived in East London for close to 2 years where I bought a female Alsatian German Shepherd, Venus. My son, myself and Venus moved back to Plant City at the end of 2000, where I met my now Ex-husband a K9 officer at the time. We bred our shepherds and kept 2 of the litter.I finally had my own herd Venus, Neo, Nala, and Benno. I have worked as a groomer here in Plant City at All In One Pet Parlor and Sundance Kennels. In 2005 I opened Tana's Pet Salon. Owning my business was one of the most rewarding thing I've done. I learned how to incorporate my years of experience working with animals into something I was and always will be very proud of. I will never be able to express the gratitude I have for all the amazing clients I have had over the almost 10 years I was in business. They truly became part of my family. I have pet sat in my home and in there homes. There are still many of them today who I still care for there pets and I will continue until God takes them to run free with Him. I now work in the medical field but still pet sit and even groom a few. There is such a need for the service I am now offering and with the help of a couple of trusted friends we will be able to give the Plant City pet community what it needs.
