Handprints Academy Nacogdoches

We are located at 1118 Tanglewood Circle, Nacogdoches, Texas 75961. Handprints Academy offers classes for students 6 weeks through full day Kindergarten as well as After School classes for students in Kindergarten through 5th grade from all NISD schools and the SFA Charter School. Rather than providing a day care service, we offer an education.

Our teachers from the infant classroom all the way through Pre-K 3 use the High Reach Curriculum to plan weekly lessons and centers. Our Pre-Kindergarten & Kindergarten teachers uses the Saxon Math & Reading Readiness Curriculum to plan weekly lessons. All of the classrooms have age appropriate group times during which age appropriate learning objectives are discussed and children participate in music, singing, dancing, and reading. All classrooms also enjoy an hour on our large shaded playgrounds in both the morning and afternoon to work on social skills, making friends, or just relaxing after a busy day.

After School students are transported on Handprints Academy buses from their NISD or SFA Charter Schools to Handprints Academy at the end of their school day. After School students have opportunities to play outside on our large shaded playgrounds, a chance to enjoy an afternoon snack, assistance with homework as needed, and indoor center and craft times each afternoon.

As a private child care center, we offer a year-round educational program designed to promote the physical, social, cognitive and emotional development of children.

The Handprints Academy Preschool & Kindergarten programs encourage hands on learning designed to inspire your child's natural love of learning. Our philosophy is based on love and respect for each child as a special and unique individual.

We also offer a theme based, well planned, full day summer program including many fun field trips for students who have completed Kindergarten through Fifth Grades.
