Aloha And Welcome To Tante's Island Cuisine

Hi, I'm Tante Urban, owner of Tante's Island.
Whether you are visiting Hawaii or lucky enough to live here
we thank you for stopping by to share a meal with us here at
Tante's Island Cuisine. We have a diverse menu for you, featuring
both American and continental dishes and, thanks to Hawaii's mix of
ethnic cultures, many popular or special local favorites. We like to
use locally-sourced foods when possible- tropical fruits, island
vegetables and or course, lots of fresh fish caught right here in the Hawaiian waters.

Having a restaurant like this one has been a dream of mine such
I came to Hawaii from the Phillipines in 1968 and graduated from
the University of Hawaii at Hilo with a degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management.
After years of trainingas a chef, I opened my first Tante's in Kona 25 years ago.
We are a family run restaurant, three generations working together with the motto
of "Good Food, Good Service, Good Price" I'm proud of my heritage and have made dishes from my home-land part of my restaurant menu. It gives people a chance to try something a bit more exotic- like my signature Shrimp Sari Sari and I guess they like it:
Tante's has been voted best Filipino Restaurant a dozen times in the annual readers
poll conducted by the local newspaper West Hawaii Today.
