Just a few things...

APPOINTMENTS: We recommend that you book your appointments in advance so that we may accommodate your scheduling requests. Walk-ins are always welcome. Please arrive at least 5 to 10 minutes prior to your scheduled treatment. A late arrival may reduce your session time. If you know you are going to be late, no biggie, please contact us. Please note before booking your appointment that we do carefully take our time for all of our services, to insure the best quality & experience possible. If you would like a more in & out service we do recommend that you let us know when making your appointment.

CLEAN TOOLS ALWAYS: We uphold the highest standards of hygiene at t a r t d e c o. Metal tools, after each use, are thoroughly scrubbed with hot water and antibacterial soap to make sure there are no particles left on the tools, then completely dried, sealed and put in a sealed container. For our pedicure bowls, we scrub them down with antibacterial soap and hot water, and then we spray them down with the same hospital-grade disinfectant for 10 minutes. All other surfaces, tables and chairs are also disinfected after each customer with the same hospital-grade disinfectant.

CUTICLE CARE: Cuticles protect your nails. At t a r t d e c o, we only lightly trim hangnails and loose dead skin that is visible after pushing the cuticles back. Trimming or cutting LIVE cuticles during a manicure is purely cosmetic and doesn’t benefit the nail in any way. In fact, it’s actually harmful to your nails. The small area of skin is there to protect your nails from infection. When this skin is removed, your nail is left unprotected from bacteria and fungus. Cuticles should never be cut or trimmed as it leads to infections and ultimately cause damage to the nail.

HEALTH & SAFETY: By State Law we must refuse service to anyone who seems to have any kind of communicable foot, hand or skin disease. RULES AND REGULATIONS of the CALIFORNIA OFFICE OF BARBER AND COSMETOLOGY LICENSURE 4 CCR 731-1 January 30, 2007 — A licensee shall not perform services on a client if the licensee has reason to believe the client has an unhealthy condition; a communicable disease; contagious condition; skin or nail tissue that is inflamed, infected, broken, raised or swollen; or an open wound or sore in the area affected unless the client provides written authorization from a licensed physician.

PAYMENTS & GRATUITIES: We accept CASH and CHECKS. Gratuities accepted in cash is preferred but not necessary.
