Tax Express

An Enrolled Agent (EA) is a federally authorized tax accountant, created and empowered by an Act of Congress and governed by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. In addition to preparing tax returns, EAs are approved to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service. Attorneys and certified public accountants are licensed on a state by state basis, whereas EAs are authorized to practice in all states.
