Taylor Bros Hot Dog Stand

beloved James G. (Jimmy) Taylor, his wife Pauline (the “Notorious Ma Taylor”), and his brother Kelly (Uncle KK) Taylor, who founded the original Taylor’s Hot Dogs in Porterville in 1949. They opened a second location the following year in Delano but in 1952 picked up stakes and moved the building to establish Visalia’s first fast food restaurant at the corner of Center and Encina. Hot Dogs were 20 cents and soda pop was a dime. In 1954 they opened a new location in Watsonville which is still operating today.
Today the family business proudly carries on under the ownership ofSon James L Taylor and Grandson Matt Taylor who insist that the tradition of great tasting hot dogs, fast service, and a good price continues.
