Teachey is a town in Duplin County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 376 at the 2010 census.GeographyTeachey is located in southwestern Duplin County at . U.S. Route 117 passes through the center of town, leading south to the center of Wallace and north 4mi to Rose Hill. Interstate 40 passes east of town, with access from Exit 384.According to the United States Census Bureau, Teachey has a total area of 2.4km2, all of it land.DemographicsAs of the census of 2000, there were 245 people, 92 households, and 66 families residing in the town. The population density was 299.1 people per square mile (115.4/km²). There were 97 housing units at an average density of 118.4 per square mile (45.7/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 41.63% White, 50.61% African American, 0.82% Asian, 5.71% from other races, and 1.22% from two or more races.
