This year Tedfest will benefit The Arthur-Lugibihl Community Center Restroom Addition Project.

History of the Arthur-Lugibihl Community Center-
In 2003, the old gymnasium was saved through the generosity of our community on our first capital campaighn. The Arthur-Lugibihl Community Center Committee was formed and managers the facility that functions on a not for profit basis with many volunteers.

The Mission
To provide a community activity centerto accommodate current and future activity needs of young person and adults from the surrounding area.

Our current status
The Community Center is rented to families, organizations, and groups from the surrounding area. Events that have taken place include graduation parties, wedding ceremonies/receptions, as well as hosting events for the athletic department and the center is the primary polling facility during election years. Additionally, the Pandora-Gilboa School leases the facility annually for the Jr. High sporting activities, weight room, and locker rooms.

Our Need-
As the current restrooms are on opposite sides of the basketball court, they are original to the building and have been maintained since the formation of the center. Newer, more modern facilities are needed.
Restroom addition plans have been completed by Techicon Design for the project. All planning was done according to state building codes using a masonry & steel structure similar to the current building.

The new addition will include: Men's Restrooms, Women's Restrooms, Lobby Area, Maintenance Room, and Storage Room.

The cost of the project, including engineering and architectural planning is $305,000. The Arthur-Lugibihl Community Center board has planned fund raising events to help raise money towards this restroom project addition.

Additionally, we have set a Capital Campaign Goal of $130,000.
