More about Telugu Christian Fellowship of New Jersey

TCFNJ started in New Jersey in 1979. The group began as a way for early Indian Christians who emigrated to America share their faith. In the beginning the group was made up of Telugu, Malayalee, & Tamil families. As the meetings became bigger the Telugu Christian Fellowship of New Jersey was established and began meeting every third Saturday of the month.

TCFNJ celebrates and welcomes all of God's children from all around the world. The purpose of the organization is not to segregate ourselves as a group but to celebrate and continue the tradition of our faith and culture so as to pass it on to future generations. The focal point of TCFNJ is to glorify God and encourage Telugu Christians in the United States by widening our community.

We welcome speakers who are strong Christians to our meetings each month to challenge us to be stronger in our faith. We celebrate our faith through acceptance not exclusion just as Jesus did while he was on this earth.

1 John 4:7-8 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.

We believe in the scriptures of Old and New Testament as by inspired by God and inerrant in the original writings and that they are the supreme and final authority in faith and life. We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary and is true God and true man.

We believe that man was created in the image of God ; that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice and that all who believe in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood.

Our meetings are held every third Saturday of the month at Zion Lutheran Church 559 Raritan Road, Clark, NJ 07066. Fellowship meetings begin at 6pm and are followed by a Fellowship Potluck Meal.
