Temple Emanu-El is the oldest, largest and most dynamic Reform synagogue in Tucson.
The Hebrew term of temple is Beit Knesset, which means house of assembly, a building where Jewish people get together. Our synagogue is many things for our congregants: a holy place to worship God, a center to learn about and experience the amazingly rich Jewish tradition, a comfortable location to meet and make friendships, and a working center of living Judaism. It is also a place of creative exploration, where we can seek that which moves and excites us religiously and intellectually.
There are many opportunities at Temple Emanu-El for Jewish education, prayer, social action and social interaction. We are working hard to make our temple a warm, welcoming, vibrant house of prayer and study, of family and friendship.
We embrace and support all Jews who seek a caring community that constantly works to improve the world through the joy and celebration of Judaism.
