Tennessee Area Search and Rescue

We are a group of individuals from different disciplines drawn together with a common belief in an honest approach to the K9 profession and its use in Search and Rescue. All members show a true desire to aid those in need FREE of CHARGE in the Tennessee area. We attempt to locate lost and missing people through use of scent discriminating K-9’s. Our K-9’s are trained in the art of Trailing which is far more effective than Tracking. We also have a forensic detection dog (human remains, evidence etc.). We have handler teams in Knoxville, Madisonville, Union County and Chattanooga that allows for a 1-2 hour response to most of Tennessee.Our members consist of Police, Fire, and EMS personnel of the highest standing within their respective fields.When requested we will fully evaluate the situation at hand and provide a thoughtful and truthful assessment of the situation to determine how and where T.A.S.A.R. can assist. If we find we are able to assist we will then mobilize T.A.S.A.R. We do not make false promises. We do not self deploy, the agency in charge (Police dept, Sheriff's dept etc) would need to contact us.
