Tennessee Prayer Breakfast

The Tennessee Prayer Breakfast is a state version of the National Prayer Breakfast. It is an annual event that is held in Nashville, TN each spring. The first Tennessee Prayer Breakfast, formally known as the Governor's Prayer Breakfast, was held on April 3, 1980. Featured speakers have included Tom Landry, Charles Colson, Elizabeth Dole, Charles Swindoll, Franklin Graham, Michael W. Smith, Anne Graham Lotz, Scott Hamilton and Richard Stearns. Musical guests have included Larnelle Harris, Josh Turner, Amy Grant, the Fisk Jubilee Singers, the Gaither Vocal Band, the Nashville Choir, Nicole C. Mullen, CeCe Winans, Alison Krauss and Mandisa.
