Located on the Texas-Arkansas border, Texas A&M University-Texarkana is a comprehensive regional university with a beautiful new 375-acre campus near Bringle Lake in Texarkana, Texas.
A&M-Texarkana recently opened its first residence hall, Bringle Lake Village. The modern facility provides students many amenities such as a swimming pool and sand volleyball court. All units are furnished and include flat-screen televisions, microwave ovens and refrigerators. The current occupancy rate is almost 90 percent.
The new Eagle Athletics program includes men's and women's tennis, women's soccer and -- coming in spring 2016 -- men's baseball. The university has a variety of student organizations and clubs, including Greek life, band, choir and a dance team. Recreational sports also are an important part of student life.
The university also has a center on the campus of Northeast Texas Community College near Mt. Pleasant.
