The Pythian Home is a basic, residential child care facility licensed by the Texas Department of Family & Protective Services to house sixty-two children. Unfortunate circumstances are often the reason why children cannot live with their parents. Circumstances such as death, divorce, chemical dependency, adjudication, abuse or neglect create an environment that is unsafe for a child. Children are placed at the Pythian Home by the managing conservator, parent or guardian. The Pythian principles of Friendship, Charity, and Benevolence continue to be the driving force behind the organization that supports the Home. Pythians who see the needs of others and reach out to meet those needs is the reason the Home continues to thrive.
