Texas Taco Grill

Located in the heart of Vestavia Hills, AL, Texas Taco Grill is all about fresh, local, made from scratch gourmet tacos. We also offer house made, award-winning salsas, and signature guacamole and queso with only the best ingredients. Co-owners Max Beasley and Executive Chef Denis Gavlik have been best friends for 42 years. That friendship started in 1974 when Max met Denis in 6th grade in Texas. 4 years later Denis visited Max in Florence, AL while Max was staying with his dad there for the summer. They spent most of the time fishing on the Tennessee River and thought it would be cool to someday retire in Alabama. Someday is now, and instead of retiring they decided to open a restaurant together. Having spent several years in Texas as an Executive Chef, Denis has a background in true gourmet cuisine. Max wanted to bring those succulent flavors to the vibrant Birmingham, AL, food scene. And here they are!
