TFA: Celebrating 90 Years

90th Anniversary Celebration

90 years have come to an end but the work of the Lord carries on! TFA is celebrating 90 years of ministry in the Taft community. We are celebrating all that God has done, and looking forward with anticipation to all that He will continue to do. October 2013 is our anniversary

When an evangelist and his family came to the city of Taft, they held large tent revivals that resulted in a great amount of conversions. This led to the establishment of a new church. The church was dedicated on October 21, 2013. Reading through church history, it is clear that TFA has always held an attraction for young people and families. TFA has always had a heart for the community. In its early years, when the towns were larger, it mothered churches in both Maricopa and Fellows. It has always had a great heart for outreach. In the most recent years, they have partnered with The Community Resource Center to provide backpacks, school supplies, haircuts, sport and school physicals and lots more to the kids of Taft. They have a weekly meal program and clothing closet.

Rev. Trent Meadors says, “We are excited about the 90 year celebration. This is a great opportunity to celebrate the things God has done over the years that has given the church a rich heritage. We are also looking forward to the great things that God is going to do.”

TFA looks forward to many more years of ministry in the Taft area. They have a renewed vision of extending the message of Christ’ love to all. They are forward looking and forward moving in their ministry. Calendar of Events:
October 13th: The Southern California Assemblies of God Network Superintendent will be at Taft First Assembly of God in the morning Service. Rev. Rich is a dynamic speaker that will motivate you and excite you about the great things God is doing in Taft.
October 20th- Friends and Family Celebration
Invite a friend from the past or invite someone new. Let’s celebrate how good God is. Our celebration will start at 10 AM with danishes and muffins. Then our Encounter Service at 10:30 AM followed by a Deep Pit Lunch. There is a special celebration for our kids that day also at 10:30 AM.
