Thank God For Good Friday

Why Thank God? Why Good Friday?
It was late in 2008 that God began to burden Marvin Livingston's heart with the sorrow that our country, and the Church of Jesus Christ, no longer fearfully revered and observed the day that God had set aside in advance for all mankind... to be able to one day spend eternity in paradise with him. It seems that as a country, we observe and honor our nations’ founding fathers, past presidents, and other great men & women in our country’s history, but somewhere we have neglected the one historical death that not only changed history, but eternity... the death of Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, who was perfect and without sin, who was crucified and died on the cross for both you and for me, and on the third day arose from the dead and ascended into heaven and now sits at the right hand of God. It’s in Jesus’ honor that we choose to observe Good Friday and Thank God for this holy day. "I pray that this reenactment of the crucifixion will open the eyes and touch the hearts of those who have never heard the Good News... that Jesus died, so we could live!"

Luke 23: 23-43
23 But they were insistent, demanding with loud voices that He be crucified. And the voices of these men and of the chief priests prevailed. 24 So Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they requested.
32 There were also two others, criminals, led with Him to be put to death. 33 And when they had come to the place called Calvary, there they crucified Him, and the criminals, one on the right hand and the other on the left. 34 Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do. 39 Then one of the criminals who were hanged blasphemed Him, saying, “If You are the Christ, save Yourself and us.” 40 But the other, answering, rebuked him, saying, “Do you not even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? 41 And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong.” 42 Then he said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.” 43 And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”
