The 13th Door Haunted Manor

The Firefighters' Burned Children Fund of Person County host an annual fundraiser in October, known as the 13th Door Haunted Manor, located at the intersection of Frank Timberlake Road and Cates Mill Road. We are asking for your assistance in this fund raising event. Proceeds from this event will go towards the items requested by the Jaycee Burn Center, travel for burn survivors to and from the Burn Center, and assistance to burn survivors to go to camp. More than 35% of all fire and burn injuries and deaths are to children. Fires and burns are the second leading cause of accidental death for children one to four years and the third leading cause of death for all of those under age 19. Burn injuries are emotional as well as physical, requiring many adjustments for growing and maturing children. The worst type of burn is the one that could have been prevented. The fund works with firefighters and medical professionals across the nation to promote safety and awareness. Make certain tonight that your smoke alarm works and that your family knows what to do in the event of a fire.
