The Admiral Hotel

Originally opened in 1940, The Admiral Hotel was an iconic structure in downtown Mobile. Originally known for being the first building in the city to have air conditioning, the hotel featured a cocktail lounge, coffee shop, drug store and National Airlines Office.

Our multi-million dollar renovation includes a complete makeover of 156 guest rooms, including 5 luxurious suites on the top floor; a striking new lobby design, beautiful restaurants, inviting public spaces as well as functional meeting and event rooms featuring state-of-the art equipment. Full catering services complement the expanded meeting space totaling 6,000 sq. ft. with a capacity of up to 550 people.

Guests need not travel far for restaurant options as the hotel boasts two exciting new on-site dining options: Corner 251 and Launch. Corner 251, a bakery/café with an exciting new bar, boasts a menu of the highest quality food and drink. Guests will enjoy fresh pastries and locally roasted coffee in the morning with gourmet sandwiches and regionally inspired small plate dining options in the afternoon and evening. Launch, an Upscale Urban restaurant, will feature a diverse menu of American Classics made with fresh ingredients from local fisheries, growers and purveyors, and prepared from scratch daily.
