The African Cultural Resource Center

Founded by Lamech Change, a Kenyan man with a mission to help Refugees and students achieve success here in the United States, the African Resource Center will be a place for Africans to learn English and Americans to learn other languages and cultures.

The African Resource Center is being supported by two businesses sharing the same building: The East African Market and Hamilton's Tires and Accessories. Money from the businesses helps to fund the resource center as well as attract attention to the services the resource center will provide.

June 16 is our new annual celebration of culture and African/African-American heritage. 6/16/2012 was a successful grand opening day, but we have even greater plans for next year's celebration.

Many new opportunities will be made available, such as ESL classes for African immigrants of any background, and career services to help find jobs for the immigrants.

We sincerely hope that you can become a part of the community we are establishing here in Mobile, whether you are African or not!
