The Alley Music Studios

Long before the neighborhood became known as the "NoHo Arts District", The Alley Studios had its foundation firmly established within the Los Angeles creative community for nearly two decades.

Hand-constructed by owner Bill Elkins,The Alley "gateway" first opened in May 1973 with the maxim:

" Started Yesterday... Finish Tomorrow... Built, But Never Measured..."

Almost immediately, word spread about the "Alley Vibe" with its creative, "fortress-like" environment -- a welcome alternative to the hassles of Hollywood distraction and discourse .

The Alley soon became an industry favorite, establishing North Hollywood as an integral part of the Tinseltown machine -- and the only "real" excuse to "make it over the hill".

Today, The Alley remains much as it did back in '73 but if life truly begins at 40, it's probably best to experience your midlife crisis at 20.
