OUR MISSION: to provide and maintain a comfortable and fun environment that functions as a venue for performance of American Music, and a social setting for those who enjoy, as well as those who perform, the music. This venue will also support and develop new and emerging talent in Greater Houston through education, networking and performance opportunity. It will also function as a gallery for various local art, and also offer networking opportunities for aspiring musicians and artists.

What is "Americana"?
Americana is a term generally used to describe music, arts, crafts and literature developed by American musicians, artists, artisans, writers and craftsmen. It is often more specifically associated with references to and themes influenced by historic events, stories, artifacts, folklore, etc. In popular music, Americana is often used to loosely describe a mix of genres indigenous to the roots of the developing American culture.

OUR VENUE CONCEPT: THE AMERICANA will be a quality music venue with a comfortable and intimate feel. It will also be a fun, very clean, neighborhood-style bar and coffeehouse with a large selection of quality refreshments, and amazingly great music. in addition to the featured entertainment at night we will have happy hour pricing for the after-workers and early birds. The bar will feature an assortment of fine wines and craft, imported and top-selling domestic and Texas beers. The coffeehouse offerings will include cappuccino and latte drinks, freshly-ground and brewed coffee, and a variety of soft drinks. The food menu will start light and depend on the venue size, location and licensing- we'll see where it goes..Beyond the regular club events, we will periodically present workshops, song swaps and other interactive music-oriented events moderated by established locally-based artists. We look to also establish a venue that encourages community- both for musicians and music-lovers alike. We also have plans to set up live video streaming for selected shows, as well as regular live audio recordings, and a plan down the road to present live internet broadcasts- kind of "from our living room to yours"...
