With Anderson Estates we are hostels based out of LA, near USC, with our main house being The Rochester Mansion. Originally built by Eddie "Rochester" Anderson, the first black actor in Hollywood, the house was designed by Paul Williams and built in the 1940's. In that time Mr. Anderson was paving the way for shows like Scandal and Empire to be televised today.

As mister Anderson passed away in 1977, he has never received the recognition he deserved for all the work put in by him in the industry. At this time Anderson Estates is honoring him continuously with activist movements for equality and homeless as well as providing an affordable place for young artist to start over in LA, starting at $20 a night.

In the current state, we have five houses in all to make our group of houses. All houses get the same amenities including access to the pool, kitchens, bathrooms, social areas, and free breakfast everyday. The Cimarron House which has a very real-world vibe and houses most of our travelers and artist that are more shorter term. Everyone hangs out in this living room from all five houses, as this is definitely the social hotspot.

The Cottage allows guests to get away from the hustle and bustle of LA. As our second house located across from The Mansion, this house has no tv and headphones required to allow the guest to have a nice quiet stay.

The Mansion houses two dorms in attached rooms and is the star of our work. The Mansion, design witch a midas touch as guests have referred to it, has a very old Hollywood aura with it's antique decor and original artwork. With a pool, workout area, multiple kitchens, plenty bathrooms, a jacuzzi tub for guest use, variety of room options, and private rooms. All of these great amenities are available to guest staying at any of our properties.

The Mansion also takes events and host parties. It's available as a vacation rental as well as film location for multiple ideas.

With equally versatile staff as our properties we have become one of the top hostels in LA and work to make sure everyone enjoys their experience with us!
