Originally opened in 2000, The Aquadome was brought into Kirksville's community by some folks invested in the DIY and art culture. Throughout the few initial years it was used for hosting potlucks, live music, bike races, comedy troupes, and guest speakers.
Nearly a decade later, The Aquadome was reopened with the same spirit. Aimed at serving Kirksville as a center dedicated to music, art, and community, it is now run by volunteers to foster a vibrant, dynamic outlet with a creative atmosphere.
In 2016, The Aquadome became a recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
