The Ballroom Dance Center is the premier ballroom dance studio in the CSRA! We have quality instruction for both the competitive and social dancer. Established Reputation: The area’s oldest continuously operating studio with a 20-year history of quality and fun for both the social and competitive dancer.

Accomplished and Certified Instructors: With teaching experience totaling over 60 years, our instructors have nationally accredited, professional dance degrees. Our teachers include:
• The area’s only United States Professional Finalists in the Ballroom and Rhythm / 9 Dance Division.
• Argentine Tango dancers who performed with internationally acclaimed QuinTango and Octavio Brunetti in North and South America and danced at the world famous Spoleto Festival.

The Premier Facility in Augusta: The only 5,000 square foot studio with a huge floating, “leg friendly”, hardwood dance floor, featuring a large and small ballroom and a lovely ambiance.



Youth Program: An extensive youth program; scholarships based on need and merit.

What can you do at The Ballroom Dance Center

SOCIAL DANCES

This is the place to be on the fourth Friday night of each month! Come to The Ballroom Dance Center to dance from 8pm - 10:30 pm with the fabulous and friendly staff! We also hold special theme dances such as October's Haunted Eye Ball, December's Snow Ball and many more throughout the year!

GROUP LESSONS

A variety of beginner, intermediate and advance classes. In groups, you’ll get great value, fellowship, and practice in leading and following different partners. You may also stay with your partner if you prefer. We also offer semi- private groups to advance in a certain style and custom designed groups for friends or organizations. Group classes start at the beginning of each month. Please register in advance to avoid class cancellations.

PRIVATE LESSONS

For those who wish to take their dancing to a higher level, we offer private lesson opportunities with our DVIDA certified dance instructors. The DVIDA (Dance Vision International Dance Association) has a nationally standardized syllabus and a certification process. The Ballroom Dance Center’s instructors are DVIDA certified with professional dance degrees.


COACHING OPPORTUNTIES

Bringing quality coaching to The Ballroom Dance Center is just one of the many ways we continually strive to help our students take their dancing to the next level.

SHOWS

Offered annually, our showcases are full length, original theater productions. All levels and all ages have fun, work hard, and develop confidence and showmanship. Great camaraderie develops during the music selection, choreography, lessons, rehearsals, and finally the big nights of the shows.

COMPETITIONS

We take pride in The Ballroom Dance Center being the home to the only professional American Style Smooth and Rhythm United States 9 Dance finalists in the area! These professionals have trained long and hard to bring their dance skills to a competitive level and to bring that expertise to The Ballroom Dance Center.

Our students and our professionals enjoy the athletic and artistic challenge of competitions held around the United States often in resort destinations like Asheville’s Grove Park Inn. Whether you are a newcomer or advanced, a junior or a senior, there is an opportunity for all levels and ages to participate. Spectators enjoy luxurious getaway weekends where they can cheer for our students and watch awesome professionals dance.
