The BMX Racing Zone

The BMX Racing Zone was started in 1994 by none other than guitar player, gate start master, hair farmer and all around good guy, Paul DePauw. Through his 23 years of running the shop he has provided a place for people to hang out, got countless people on BMX bikes and has no doubt made the name BMX Racing Zone legendary in the Midwest BMX scene.

In June of 2017, Paul passed on ownership of the shop to myself, Bobby Parker. I have worked in multiple bike shops through the years as well as spent 9 years as a sales rep in the BMX industry both at Blackout BMX (Kink Bike Co) as well as Full Factory Distribution (Sunday, Odyssey, G-Sport, Fairdale). I am passionate about all types of bicycles but consider myself a BMXer first and foremost. You can find me at the Davenport cement park, East Moline BMX Speedway, getting my tires dirty on all of the amazing single track in the QC maintained by Friends of Off Road Cycling, riding my fat tire bike along the shores of Credit Island or cruising neighborhoods and the River Path with my family.
