Glenn Edward "Bo" Schembechler was a beloved head football coach, and later, athletic director at the University of Michigan. More than that, he was a father figure to the athletics program, the university as a whole, and the Ann Arbor community.
Anyone who has attended Michigan, is a fan of Michigan, or just loves football in general can identify with Bo. Bo is the embodiment of tradition, and especially that of Michigan tradition.
Bo is an identity. It can be used to represent excellence or the feeling of a classic football Saturday.
You don't have to be from Michigan to appreciate what Bo stood for and accomplished. It's all about embracing and celebrating The Team, The Team, The Team.
Bo is passion, hard work, and grit from a time we can all remember. Bo is having season tickets, singing the Victors, and knowing that Those Who Stay Will Be Champions. Whether you are a fan, a leader, a teammate or a coach, regardless of level or profession, you know what we're talking about.
