The Boston Home was founded in 1881 and is located on a wheelchair-enabled seven-acre campus in Dorchester. It is a not-for-profit, specialized Residence and Center for Care for 96 adults with advanced progressive neurological diseases, primarily Multiple Sclerosis. In addition, The Boston Home Outpatient Services provide therapeutic and social programs for outpatients and The Boston Home Institute advances standards for care through research and education. The Boston Home has been designated a Center for Excellence in Long Term Care by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
